Diagnosis and Treatment

DIAGNOSIS:

There is one specific test which is used to detect this virus known as ELISA.
( Enzyme linked Immunosorbent assay)
This test is a liquid based test for HIV, in which the antigens are taken in a solution containing the rotavirus and than antibodies are coated with it and than after 3 washes add the enzyme-conjugated rotavirus antibody and the rotavirus antigens are captured by antibody. After that enzymes are substrate and the specific anti-rotavirus enzyme conjugate binds to the captured rotavirus antigens and in this last stage, a color is formed after heating thus tells us that the virus id present.

TREATMENT:

There is no cure to treat AIDS but there are some medications which can help to keep us at the bay from HIV/ AIDS. These type of medications help us to fight against the diseases and keep our immune system as healthy as possible. It helps our body to face the complications that are caused due to this virus.

EFFECTS OF AIDS

HIV or AIDS can effect human body in various ways:

It can effect the main parts of your body including mouth, skin, brain and it even affects your weight. Most of the skin conditions are also due to the virus that has infected the people already. These viruses directly hit the immune system of the person who is infected and which leads to the weakening of immune of system but typically do not cause diseases in the body but it effects the white blood cells ability to fight against the viruses etc.

HIV infection can also lead to the oral infection:
  • Dry mouth
  • Ulcer in mouth
  • Oral cancer
  • Oral hair leukopenia (OHL)
  • Herpes
These can be an early sign which states that the immune system has been damaged. There are other factors as well from which it can be detected for example, skin infections and than symptoms such as flu lasting a month or two, cough and it can effect some parts of your brain too.

This shows us how the cells are getting effected by the virus. The cells than infect the other body parts, after which the signs and symptoms starts to visible.
